Major Global Telecommunications Firm
Client
BlockAPT has partnered with Jersey Telecom (JT) that has developed a set of Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). When triggered they provide a set of key datasets specific to an individual’s digital footprint in order to fight against mobile fraud. Using APIs, the BlockAPT platform’s mobile fraud engine is targeted across a range of mobile users within JT’s divisions exposed to mobile fraud – including SIM Swap Fraud, Call Centre Fraud, Account Takeover Fraud, Identity Fraud, Transaction Fraud and PSD2 Fraud.
Defence in Depth Approach - Detection & Prevention
The BlockAPT platform leverages its API integration with JT to deliver comprehensive fraud protection services to protect against SIM Swap Fraud, Call Centre Fraud, Account Takeover Fraud, Identity Fraud, Transaction Fraud and PSD2 Fraud. It does this by implementing an effective defence-in-depth approach.
Solution
The BlockAPT platform defence-in-depth approach means a continuous vulnerability assessment program can be put in place to automatically detect and alert on various mission critical fraud schemes. This is backed by the right controls where remediation can be applied through proactive incident response handling as soon as high-risk fraud rules and workflows are triggered.
Using an API centric approach, the BlockAPT platform integrates seamlessly and effectively into JT’s existing change control processes. Notifications can be assigned automatically or with manual intervention as required in accordance with existing escalation procedures. Tracking features for audit trails and the ability to automatically back up and restore devices configurations ensures that the highest levels of consumer and corporate security is enforced. With the added benefits of generating significant cost savings.
